My name is Shannon Mulrain and below is a picture of me from my trip to Italy at the Leaning Tower. I really love to explore new places and to go on adventures and Italy was all of that! I graduated from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY a year ago with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I have been a long term substitute for a Kindergarten class for the past six months and am both excited and sad for their upcoming graduation! I will be making the move to Utah from New York in several months and I look forward to joining the team at Edgemont as well as meeting the faculty and students. I can not wait for the upcoming school year!
My name is Kellie Evans and I am very excited to be the new half-day Kindergarten teacher at Edgemont Elementary! I have been a classroom teacher for 8 years and have worked with children in various capacities for many more years. We have a large blended family of 12 children all who are grown and attending colleges around the state now except for the last three who are pictured here. This was taken on a recent trip to DisneyLand. What fun!! I am an avid reader but still find my way to the children’s book section to peruse the newest picture books from all my favorite authors. I love to start the day with a little deep breathing and yoga. I enjoy baking and quilting and spending time with friends and family. Looking forward to getting to know the staff and families at Edgemont in the fall!
"Hi Edgemont Eagles! My name is Amy Mattson, and I am so excited to start my new position as the Head Administrative Assistant this fall. I am coming to Edgemont from a small company where I am currently an Office Manager, and before that I worked at Canyons School District in the Human Resources department. I graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Public Relations in 2009, and now have a two year old son, Kahlil, and two crazy dogs! I love to read, hike, attempt Pinterest projects, and am always up to try new things. I look forward to getting to know everyone at the school and in the community and doing great things together!"
Everyone wishes Lydia LuPutka and Candace Jacob the best of luck as they move on from Edgemont next year. Thank you for caring about our students! We will miss you both:)
