Get a Public Library Card

Having a Salt LakeCounty Library card can help your student succeed in school.
If your child doesn’t have a library card it’s quick and free to sign up if you live in Salt Lake County.
Make sure to ask about the no fines student library card when you sign up.

General Information for County Libraries in the Canyons District Area

Salt Lake County Branch Libraries in Canyon’s District
Whitmore Branch 2197 E. Ft. Union Boulevard
Sandy Branch 10100 South Petunia Way (1405 E.)
Tyler Branch 8041 South Wood Street (55 West)
Draper Branch 1136 East Pioneer Rd (124th South)
With many other branches throughout Salt Lake County.

All Branches are Open:

Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday & Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Library Programs/Services:

Kids Café at Tyler Library
A healthy snack program for kids under 18 (Monday – Friday 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
Hero Adventure Club
Active book related program geared for kids 8-12. Check for times at Sandy & Draper branches
Great Reads
A book club geared for kids 8-12. Check for times at Whitmore, Sandy & Draper branches.
Free online tutoring 7 days a week 2 p.m. – 11 p.m. for Kindergarten through 12th grade. Login using your library card using a library branch      
              computer or from home.

Once you’ve filled out the online registration just bring in your ID and a proof of address to pick up your new library card or sign up for a library card at your library branch.
