Dear Edgemont Families,
We had a wonderful first week back to school. It is such a pleasure to see all of your students’ faces. I had the opportunity to observe several morning meetings and am learning a great deal about your kiddos. We truly have an extraordinary student body and I feel very privileged to be a part of their academic careers.
Each week, on Sunday evenings, I will send you an email with upcoming events and information. I will also share some questions you may want to ask your students just in case your conversations about school sometimes sound like: “What did you do at school today?” “Nothing.” I know that it can sometimes be difficult to learn about the great things happening at school.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students this school year. You can access menus and nutritional information at edgemont.canyonsdistrict.org.
We will have an after school orchestra program this year for 4th and 5th grade students. Please see the attached flyer for more information. You will need to provide afternoon transportation for your student. Edgemont Orchestra Flyer
Lastly, please see attached information from our school nurse, Renee Beus, about health related questions you may have. School Nurse Information Also attached, you will find information about Canyons’ COVID protocols for this school year. Canyons COVID Manual 21-22 Please reach out to Nurse Beus or I if you have any questions.
